Taiwaskivi will also be part of a DVD-release featuring all the films. More info on these events as they get confirmed. Below is part of what Carl Abrahamsson wrote in his presentation text of Taiwaskivi: 'Taiwaskivi' sets an encouraging tone for a new primordialism in contemporary art. We are human beings and hence we are imbued with an ancestry stemming from nature and how we relate to nature. Arcane, archaic, anachronistic, anarchic... The spiritual realm lies hidden in powerfully commited behaviour that transgresses the “civilised” mannerisms with which we have been force-fed. The tempo of “Taiwaskivi” challenges our media-fragmented minds. We are used to ultra-rapid editing of a massive amount of information. Halo Manash offer us the exact opposite – an antidote: a slow generation of energy stemming not from information but from primordial wisdom, and from the poetry of human beings as non-corrupt organisms in tune with the elements. Taiwaskivi, a work of sonic flame and aural ash, consists of seven interrelated tracks, utilizing such diverse instrumentation as organ, horns, vocals, drums, gongs, percussions and various string instruments as well as field-recordings captured during the pilgrimage that the creation of the work embodies. An air of finality abounds, as Taiwaskivi, although a complete work in itself, can also be viewed as the third and final facet of a tripartite series of works that are part of one holistic creation – a treelogy, with seed, root, trunk and finally, branches. Being the culmination of an ascending journey through the aforementioned realms within and without, Taiwaskivi is the celestial crown at the peak, reaching toward Sol, source and beyond; it is the leaves and fruit of the branches and their skybound nectar ever-flowing - the sacred fire, the consummation and conjunction of All. Comes in a hand finished cardboard booklet. Two different editions are available; regular CD edition and CD + DVD with inserts. Both are limited to 500 copies.

The album was previously available for purchase during Halo Manash France tour, January 2009 and was limited to only 29 copies.   'Tulimetsät' is a double album live release from 'Forest Music ~ Ocean Fire' tour of France in August 2008. All of the material for both of these albums was recorded live by using only one microphone and afterwards finished at our analogue-based Katajan Kaiku studios during 2008 - 2009. Ukko-Kokko  White Night Mid May, 2009 - The Dance of Trees ~ Something is coming Pilgrimage + Lapland + Arctic Ocean              Caickuwi Cauwas Walkeus – Helsinki – Feralia  Photo: T. Paavola As a continuation of the recent tour and pilgrimage in France (see Elemental Revelations for full travellogue), Halo Manash gathered in Helsinki, and for two consecutive weekends engaged in a series of intense invocations. A series of photographs were also exhibited and the films r.A.S.H.n.k.a-RA and the recently completed Taiwaskivi were screened.  Photo: T. Paavola The venue, an underground gallery situated in the heart of Helsinki, was tranformed into a sacred space, the walls becoming windows into other worlds, filled with a plethora of still and moving images and talismans. The air was opulent with smoke and sound, and on the centermost wall an altar was constructed filled with the necessary talismans, flowers and substances, beside which instruments, the sacred vessels of travel, were carefully laid out. Provisions and offerings were left and libations given to all in attendence.   Photo: T. Paavola The invocations became a series of intense Funeral Rites – an unleashing of the Chthonic powers, a honouring of the dead, a vigil to those very recently deceased and still present in spirit. And at their culmination, the festivities became a fierce celebration of Life in all its terror and beauty. Thank You for all those whom gathered there, either in spirit or form. You are with us.
