News update February 25th 2007.
As the new year started, we made an agreement with Avantgarde Music / Wounded Love Rec. to continue our co-operation. New releases (+ other, not yet to be mentioned activities) have been planned; among other things we are planning to record a very strickly limited mini-album before the actual fourth full-lenght album. (it will, naturally, include only exclusive material). More information concerning the forthcoming album(s) will follow soon. Moreover, as some of you might have already noticed, the ten-year birthday of Dolorian is at hand. Dolorian got its physical form on spring 1997, and to celebrate this we have decided to design the very first Dolorian related T-shirt, which will be released via Avantgarde / WLR on late spring ~ summer. - An updated and reformed biography is under work, moreover the 1st update to the press section took place while ago.  Greetings to all restless explorers, It has been a while since the last update, mostly due to certain simple decisions we made during the summer. 
...We are the mirrors of each others souls - we are the Other...In short, we thought that it would be both unnecessary and impossible to explain in words, more accurately, about the driving forces (the fundamental entities / whole being) behind our 3rd album 'Voidwards'. It took from five to six years to compose and finish all of the material (..TO create / form flesh over the bONEs..), therefore we firmly believe that it would not make any justice to the album itself to try to explain it afterwards on a more daily level - and more importantly, to explain all the deepest emotions, underlying forces, that we have gone through in very superficial writings and interviews. We truly hope that the album itself acts as a pure messenger, being (at least in part) free of the major cultural and linguistic restrictions.. Hence; we want to let you all know, the press and numerous webzines especially, that we ARE NOT interested in conducting any more interviews. (One of the reasons we prefer being silent at least at the current moment, in addition to the aforementioned, is that we do not want to spend our time answering to "questions" that are never even going to be published - or are later on translated poorly and even re-edited in a very misleading way). However, there could be a few exceptions - it all depends of the questions and your own attitude (interviewers who knowingly try to prop up their own egos will be rejected right away). Moreover, we honestly think that no one is really interested to know what we think about the current metal scene or of the recent winner of the Eurovision song contest. ...and a quick answer to most interviewers: what do we want to transmit to people though our tunes and words - IT IS ALL there on the album, we would really appreciate if people would actually listen the whole album through a couple of times (not while playing games, watching TV or browsing internet) and really trying to absorb and understand the material on a bit more profound level.. ...it seems to us that nothing is enough these days.. At least from our side, there will not be anykind of "spiritual silver plates" to hand over to people... we simply do not believe in quick and impatient understanding when it comes to reaching the spiritual planes of music. ...Hopefully the text above will not give the kind of impression that we are just egocentric fools - the meaning is just the opposite. We are very aware, that usually explaining too much about concepts et cetera would just accelerate the progress of idolizing yourself. The output of Dolorian will always remain open to everyone - the recommended method of receiving the pure realization is through your own frame of reference.

Below is quite recent interview for French magazine Metallian: (...we do not know if it has been published - it was the first interview we got after the release of the new album) Why Dolorian hasn’t given really sign of life for 5 years for the album Dolorian even if you have made A Split with Shining in 2004? The answer is very simple, we have never been over-enthusiastic about publicity nor marketing. We are content to concentrate more on the material itself. This new album Voidwards is depressive and more atmospheric than ever, what are the elements that influence you in the writing of such destructive moments of depression ? To be honest, I don’t consider the album to be very depressive et cetera. There are elements of Destruction, however, there exists also a strong halo of Creation. One could say that it is a kind of cycle, or a coil – all of the material is cyclical, but also progressive in a way. As we have stated many times earlier, the material of Dolorian comes straight from the spirit itself. The tunes and words are nothing but reflections from our lives, we are the mirrors – we reflect all the colors of spectrum, be they dark or bright. In the end, they all share the same source. People are free to explore and interpret the material how ever they like. We do not want explorers to restrict the utilization of their instincts – in fact, rather the opposite. I am sure that in the end the material transmits to all the people differently. We are all, often even unconsciously, lead by all sort of binding cultural factors et cetera. Therefore, it is recommended that you attempt to forget all the initial unconsious and conscious preconceptions that you might have – try to destroy the fixed patterns of your personality and eventually the material will reveal its ultimate form to you – the most primal and fundamental form. When you listen Voiwards, I see and I feel the soundtrack of the most tortured and sad film of this new century ? ...and for me the album opened today as a white lotus transforming finally into the floating obsidian pyramid – burning is learning, all is ash. Voidwards is a vehicle, it will take you to places you have always wanted to see, and moreover it will show you things you have never even dreamt of. Can you speak about the lyrics of Voidwards ? At this time we decided to include most of the lyrics in the booklet and I could go on and on about the personal meanings, however, I suggest that people attempt to interpret them via their own view of the world. ...Approach them with no-thought, mind as tabula rasa, and let the awakened visions finally encolor and paint the canvas. In your opinion, what this album represents in the new landscape of metal in 2006 ? I cannot give you a proper answer for I haven’t been following the metal scene in years. I got bored to it years ago, mainly because bands were repeating and reiterating the same old and secure ideas over and over again. At the moment, I firmly believe that our material will rise above the mud. What are the influences of the band ? The current Dolorian material has been highly inspired by various locations and landscapes, including both the physical and metaphysical ones. We do not seek inspiration consciously, we are working under the guidance of the great elemental forces and very often the ordinary train of thought no longer has a control on us. Do you have other passions with share the music ? Too many to mention. Lordi from your country is the winner of the Eurovision 2006, what do you think about that ? I do not have anykind of opinion concerning this particular matter, for I don’t really care about Lordi nor Eurovision.

For availability and inquiries contact directly Avantgarde Music or Sound Cave. ...The travel towards the distant realms continues...  24.1.2006: After a longish public hiatus the 3rd full-lenght studio album of Dolorian, entitled 'Voidwards', is thoroughly finished. All in all, 10 tracks (65:56 min.) of personal and characteristic material, which will unfold the ulterior passages of being and ultimately lead the observer from the nebulous depths of Nadir towards the luminous Zenith. From the very first rehearsals until the very last knob adjustments Voidwards had a route of it's own. During the creative processes, we (A.H. & A.K.) explored the crossings of everything - nothing ...and in the end all the mundane attachments were severed - to reach the world of senses and the state of non-attachment. Apart from the personal visions there exists also a strong over-lying halo which reflects the inmost aspects of the album. Thus, there occurs no time- and space-bound ideas nor conceptions. Voidwards is an album without beginning, without end, without past, without future. Are our dreams solely wanderings between the abyss, earth and sky?
