 Halo Manash: Taiwaskivi As winter hibernation and spring awakening gives way to summer, Halo Manash rises radiant into luminosity, with wings spread into all worlds, and brings forth Taiwaskivi, an opulent work of solar ambience and primordial Ur-music. Taiwaskivi, a work of sonic flame and aural ash, consists of seven interrelated tracks, utilizing such diverse instrumentation as organ, horns, vocals, drums, gongs, percussions and various string instruments as well as field-recordings captured during the pilgrimage that the creation of the work embodies. An air of finality abounds, as Taiwaskivi, although a complete work in itself, can also be viewed as the third and final facet of a tripartite series of works that are part of one holistic creation – a treelogy, with seed, root, trunk and finally, branches. Being the culmination of an ascending journey through the aforementioned realms within and without, Taiwaskivi is the celestial crown at the peak, reaching toward Sol, source and beyond; it is the leaves and fruit of the branches and their skybound nectar ever-flowing - the sacred fire, the consummation and conjunction of All. Comes in a hand finished cardboard booklet. Two different editions are available; regular CD edition and CD + DVD with inserts. Both are limited to 500 copies.

- Ai Ma Ra – the new album by Arktau Eos – is available for immediate ordering.
 Ai Ma Ra is a monumental album containing over 105 minutes of experimental elemental and ambient music, original in the literal sense of the word. More than music, it is 'ethnography of the unknown' in action, providing vistas into rarely glimpsed corners of reality. Created primarily on acoustic instruments, organs and harmonium, carefully mastered on vintage tape, the sound is equally earthy as it is otherworldly – a contradiction in terms maybe, but then Ai Ma Ra is not classified easily in any other respect either. It is a record in which to immerse one’s self over time, containing more than two years' worth of strange experiences and sensations distilled into a curious, potent elixir, the use of which may in its truest sense be determined only by the individual listener. Ai Ma Ra comes in a sturdy, deep green cardboard box stamped with the mark of Arktau Eos. Contained within is an 8-page booklet bound in tête-bêche format on high quality paper, a small talismanic print, and two CDs. The price of the standard edition, pressed in 1.000 copies, is set at 15 euros or plus postage; payment options include EU bank transfer and Paypal (Note: if you pay via Paypal we have to charge 5% for Paypal fees).
As for the special editions, there are two, both strictly limited to twelve copies (one for each song): The Cryptomphalos Edition, given gratis to friends and close associates. The Astrolith Edition, for trade only. In addition to the standard edition, both special editions contain an assortment of power-objects and artwork, the exact nature of which may differ between individual copies. A number of times we have seen people line up for special editions only for financial gain thru re-sale: this is disheartening due to the time and effort spent in preparation of items we do our best to infuse with value quite outside any monetary concerns whatsoever. On the other hand, we have rejoiced in the many unusual responses to our work from many an unexpected quarter. Therefore, as an experiment, we have decided on the following: Should you be desirous of acquiring a copy of The Astrolith Edition, we ask you something in exchange: be it items, preferably in two copies, to be set up on altars, sacrificed, or perhaps to be included directly in the future work of Arktau Eos. - Arktau Eos new opus out soon!
After much anticipation, the third Arktau Eos opus is - finally - ready for release before the end of this month. The CDs have arrived, sounding fine indeed, and the covers are being pressed now. The album is spread over two CDs containing a total of just over 105 minutes of music; pressed in an edition of 1.000 copies, it comes in a cardboard box set including an 8-page booklet bound in tête-bêche format. A talismanic insert providing one view at the album’s 'inner form' is included with all copies. A special edition of 2 x 12 copies is planned; details will follow. In contrast to the veritable power-surge of elemental ambient music that was Mirrorion (and its companion piece Scorpion Milk), the new album represents a more contemplative Arktau Eos. Instead of a multitude of layers and sudden, electric jolts of magical energy, focus is firmly on the deep, catacumbal and dryadic root-sounds themselves, and letting them unfold at their own pace. And in all probability, the album will not open instantly: its demands in that respect have been directly proportional to its long gestation even from our perspective. Arktau Eos and Halo Manash NOT appearing at Sisto Palty Togathering 2008 Despite being listed as appearing at Sisto Palty 2008 festival in Russia (8.-12. May) Aural Hypnox recording artists Arktau Eos and Halo Manash will not be performing there. The reason is simple: no representative of the group or the label has been contacted about the festival in the first place! The news reached us through a third party only days ago, and we are at present trying to find out the root of this strange mix-up. Needless to say, going out at this short notice is impossible, plain and simple. Missing such a nice opportunity to return to Russia is regrettable, and we intend to remedy this - properly prepared - at a suitable future date.

- As the New Year begins we are pleased to announce some news about forthcoming releases and events.
The year will see a slew of releases from most of the Aural Hypnox artists, some of which are already completed: Language of Red Goats by Halo Manash, a work that has been in progress for a several months - from the end of 2006 until end of 2007 - has been sent to press while ago with an early February release in mind. (Please note: The album will be pre-released most likely at the end of January and will be available specially for people who will be participating on the Belgium / France events - for more info concerning dates check 'Live Events' section.
In addition, Halo Manash is nearing the completion of Am Kha Astrie - approximate release date; March, 2008. A quick remind of the approaching live events to people residing in or near Belgium and France areas. ARKTAU EOS: The debut album of ARKTAU EOS, “Mirrorion”, was released by AURAL HYPNOX in the solar blaze of Midsummer 2006, although in essence ARKTAU EOS exists outside and beyond mere musical parameters. It may be conceived as an arena of manifestation for the Void streaming forth through myriad hidden pathways, shaped by the dreams and desires of its creators and their patron spirits. A religion without name, an extended liturgy in elemental language: ARKTAU EOS is many things, capable of shifting between several mediums of expression. These shows mark our first foray into live musical environment outside our circumpolar hermitage. If the stars be right, you shall dream as we do.  HALO MANASH: HALO MANASH is an entity that took its shape and shadow in Finland in the late '90s, manifesting itself through Elemental music. Sounds and visions born from raw experience, from being devoured and born anew, from the great heights and deepest depths, that take the form of music, images and artifacts. Utilizing primarily organic soundsources (such as bones and horns), various traditional and self-made instruments, as well as the Elemental sounds themselves, combined in an electronic medium, the music of Halo Manash ranges from serene serpentine ambient to frenzied and possessive outpourings of rhythmic chaos and thunder - an unleashing of primal ecstacy. Rather than a group or band in any traditional sense, Halo Manash is an entity, a being in and of itself. And as all things pulsating with life and death and dreams, Halo Manash is constantly shedding its skin and remains in a state of never-ending metamorphosis, toward ever clearer forms, deeper shades and the Void beyond All. Thus, the personae involved in Halo Manash are not central - rather it is the face of Halo Manash itself that is at the heart of all. The members of Halo Manash are the Dream that It dreams, the mask that It wears. Each Halo Manash performance is a unique time-bound manifestation and work of creation/destruction in itself, rather than being merely a repetition of works already created. Halo Manash seeks to transcend the boundaries of ordinary live-shows by creating an intense and multi-sensory experience, both for the audience and for Halo Manash itself.  ZOÄT-AON: Since 1995 Jaakko Vanhala has been making experimental music of an electronic bent. The latest phase of this work has been named Zoät-Aon, and under this title two full-length albums have been released ('Star Autopsy' in 2005 and 'The Triplex Bestial' in 2006). The soundwork on the albums is multifaceted, dynamic and organically shifting soundscapes created by a mixture of modern and archaic techniques common to electro-acoustic music, musique concrete, ambient, ethnic and ritual music. As the studio and live material are heard in different settings, there is a slight, intentional aural difference between them. However, the ultimate aim remains the same: to create a space in which both the operators and the audience have an experience that is assumed to intensify the discovery and assimilation of the repressed aspects of 'reality' in a creative sense.

The event aims to be a holistic creation, guided by acoustic sounds and visceral visions. It aims to provide the participants (both performes and audience alike) with an unique experience of time and space, born from reflections of the seen and shrouded worlds. Seeking to transcend both club-shows and art-installations, there is no stage, and members of the audience are free to choose where to stand, sit or lie during the unfolding of the evening (either on the ground floor of the Villa Pukkila or outside by the fires). Likewise, the perfomers themselves will sometimes be visible, and at other times stay hidden for the audience. The Elemental Evening is open to people by invitation only - You are invited. No alcohol will be served, so the audience is asked to bring with them what they may want to enjoy. Halo Manash has been working on new material since October 2006; full-lenght albums 'Am Kha Astrie' and 'Language Of The Red Goats' are both nearing completion and will be released somewhere this autumn. Furthermore, the group will begun to record their seventh opus during summer. - As the days grow longer, we decided to announce some news concerning the upcoming Aural Hypnox titles
and also other related activities. The current year will be challenging in many ways, however we are
confident that we will manage to overcome all the possible obstacles and reach something beyond
all expectations.
First of all, we are excited to introduce the brand-new series entitled Aural Holograms. The very first part of the series has been sent to press while ago and it is planned to be released within couple of months. In future, we strive to release a new part yearly and therefore strongly recommend people to collect the series from the very beginning to the very end - For we truly believe that, in addition to the truly unique aural content and special packaging, it is only the full series that enables a comprehensive insight into the heart of the Great Hologram. ** Some graphic changes have been made on the website and more importantly, we have opened a 'Live Events' section, which will be including all confirmed live-performance dates of the artists involved with Aural Hypnox. Moreover, related to the above mentioned, we are planning to organize a very small-scale Aural Hypnox evenings here in Oulu - and if possible elsewhere as well. However, dates nor the venues have not been decided / found yet - the activity will begin most probably in the end of summer or early autumn. - 'Entering the Labyrinth of Thousand Lanterns': There is a brand new group on the Aural Hypnox roster: the name and the title of their debut album will be revealed in due course. Mixing is nearing completion and the estimated release date is around the end of April.
It is a challenging, complex work, reaching yet unseen territories while remaining true to the uncompromising ethos established by previous Aural Hypnox releases...'the Bone-orchard is abloom again'.
Moreover, the second album of elastic and barbarous electro-organics from Zoät-Aon is almost finished; presently we wait for the cover artwork.
